PROLOGUE

    Formed 28 years ago by our late Father and Husband, Elite Furniture Removals was registered as a Close Corporation under the Close Corporation Act of 1984. The company was principally formed by the husband and wife team and has since expanded to be a fully fledged family business.  Elite Furniture Removals is a haulage company specializing in the provision of transportation and logistical services nationally.  Since its inception the business has been providing premium transportation services that bear mutual benefits to the company, its customers and employees through our constant strive for service excellence.

The very first truck and trailer that our late father and husband started with.  Leogene's Furniture Removals in 1983.  After a two - three year period, this business was sold and he started a new Furniture Removals Company.

In the late 1980's, after selling Leogene's Furniture Removals, Eugene White bought JR Removals from very longtime and trusting friends namely Josh and Renchi van Wyk. 

After selling JR Removals, Eugene started another Furniture Removal business named Professional Packers & Movers.  After building up this business, Eugene and Susan White sold this business to Thea Schoeman, also a resident in Polokwane. 

And now to the jewel of our Crown.  Elite Furniture Removals was started in the early 1990's.  Starting with only one vehicle, this business was the one that our father and husband couldn't sell.  We strongly belief that this company was seen by him as his personal baby.  Now that our late Father and Husband are not around anymore, this company is still our proud and joy.  This is our Heritage, together with so many of our staff members this is what we are living for.  Families of staff members have travelled through our business doors and up and until today, we still have staff that has been with the companies since the very first inception date.

BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

 Our father, Eugene White has started this business in 1983, so the business has been running for 28 years. This business was the second Furniture Removal business in Polokwane.  He started with only one vehicle and build up the business from one vehicle to an amazing 15 vehicles.  He opened branches in Nelspruit (Mpumalanga) and after his death in 2001, the business still kept growing.  We have branches in Polokwane, Meyerton, Middelburg (Mpumalanga) and are now also opening a branch in Cape Town.

BUSINESS ENVIROMENT

  Staff is allowed to join a Union of their choice; however, the owners will ensure that staff stays motivated and loyal by ensuring pleasant working conditions and with incentive schemes.

ECONOMIC/BUSINESS CYCLE

  In the transportation business there is movement throughout the year. The business is not susceptible to seasonal changes.

EMPLOYEES

We have 25 staff members in employment with us.

Some of the staff has been working for 28 years for the company including the packers. All staff has the relevant experience in their own fields.

The company hires its staff on a merit basis system but with special attention to
the guidelines of the Employment Equity Act and the BEE charter

BEE STATUS

Elite Furniture Removals observes all levels pertaining to the requirements of the
Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment and has obtained a Level 4 status.
